This place deserves more than 5 stars for food. Amazing tacos, affordable, delicious and generous portions. We had our best seafood tacos here not only in Holbox but also probably all the places we visited. If we had one more day, we would have had more tacos here. Worthy visiting more than just once. Highly recommend.

Delicious tacos, some of the best fish tacos that I've had in Mexico. Nice atmosphere, there was live music. Slow service but fine if you're not in a hurry.

Ordered a few of everything and everything was super delicious and tasty! The veggie tacos with shrimp and with cauliflower was mouthwatering. And this is coming from meat lover. Needless to say the meat tacos was great too! Come for the cool vibes stay for epic food! We are stopping by again that’s for sure.

we randomly stopped by Barba Negra while looking for a place to eat in hollbox and we were not disappointed! the location is nice and friendly with a great music selection. the menu is various with a lot of fish, we tried the ceviche and three different fish tacos recommended by Ciro (so much love for this amazing guy, if I had a restaurant I would pay tons of gold to hire him!), and we had artesanal beer, but you can choose among a huge variety of cocktails and wines, the bar looks very well furnished. Our favorite were the baja shrimps and the garlic and smoke shrimps. Price was super fair compared to the pricey options you get on the island, the atmosphere, the service and the food quality. highly recommended!!!
We went here twice in one week and loved it! We ate tacos pretty much every day and we didn't find any that compared to Barba Negra. Best tacos we had, including in other Mexico areas. Live music one night was great. Good atmosphere! Drinks are good but prices are a bit high and no beer. Prices are reasonable enough for the area but still not cheap.
